Judge Zein postpones interrogation session of suspect in Dahiyeh explosions

Military investigative Judge Imad Zein was expected to interrogate on Monday Lebanese citizen H.R. who was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the explosions that targeted the Beirut Southern Suburbs' Bir el-Abed and Roueis region as well as participation in planting explosions on the Al-Masnaa road.

The citizen is also charged with forming an armed organization, performing acts of terrorism, kidnapping people and terrorizing them by force of arms.

However, Judge Zein postponed the session until the 20th of November after the attorney of the arrestee presented to the judge a formal written plea.

A large explosion rocked a stronghold of Hezbollah in Beirut's Bir el-Abed region on Tuesday July 9th, setting several cars on fire and causing an estimated 53 injuries.

Another powerful car bomb tore through the Beirut Southern Suburbs' region of Roueis on Thursday the 15th of August, claiming the lives of 27 civilians and leaving more than 289 wounded. Hezbollah convoys have also been the target of explosions while en route to Syria.

On Tuesday the 16th of July, the state-run National News Agency reported that a bomb exploded at the junction of the Al-Azhar Mosque on the Majdel Anjar-Masnaa international road. Similar incidents took place on both the 10th and 28th of June; however, no casualties were reported.
