UNSC voices concern over Syrian crisis' repercussions on Lebanon

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) voiced deep concerns over the Syrian crisis' repercussions on Lebanon's stability, calling on all the Lebanese to preserve national unity while addressing attempts to undermine security.

Following consultations held in New York over UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's report on UNSC Resolution 1701, the council's members urged all Lebanese parties to abide by the dissociation policy and to avoid any involvement in the Syrian crisis.
