Judge Saqr charges 10 persons with forming armed groups in Tripoli

The State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr charged on Tuesday 10 persons with forming armed groups in Lebanon's northern city of Tripoli.

"Judge Saqr charged eight detainees, including Hatem al-Janzarli, and two commanders of Tripoli's Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tabbaneh," the state-run National News Agency reported.

Janzarli was charged with opening fire at the Lebanese Armed Forces.

The commanders were identified as Abdul Rahman Diab and Abdul Karim Sleiman.

The two fugitives are wanted for forming armed groups aiming to undermine the Lebanese state, the agency added.

They are also charged with igniting military battles between Baal Mohsen and Bab al-Tabbaneh, exchanging fire and firing rockets, attempting to murder civilians and soldiers, and destroying public and private property.
