President Sleiman: Presidential elections should be held on due time

President Michel Sleiman delivered a speech during an event to unveil the busts of the 12 Lebanese presidents that have ruled the country since its independence in 1943.

He expressed his rejection of all foreign interventions, adding that illegal weapons have become a tool of destabilization.

He also stressed the importance of dissociating the country from the regional crisis.

On another note, he tackled the issue of illegal weapons in the country, warning that they are a tool used to destabilize civil peace.

President Sleiman said that this issue should be solved by dialogue, calling Lebanese political leaders to hold presidential elections on their due time.
