Speaker Berri: 9-9-6 formula still acceptable

Speaker Nabih Berri said on Wednesday that the 9-9-6 formula [9 ministers for March 8, 9 ministers for March 14, and 6 centralist ministers] is still "acceptable" by some Lebanese leaders.

He also stressed that all Lebanese leaders must " assume their responsibilities", warning against any "adventures" that may lead the country into chaos.

Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam was appointed in April to form new government but has so far been unable to reach a common ground with Lebanese leaders over the conditions and counter conditions set by the rivals parties.
