Change and Reform bloc reiterates support to LAF

MP Ibrahim Kanaan said on Monday that the time has come for implementing a homegrown Lebanese initiative, noting that the solution starts with holding dialogue sessions in order to reach common grounds between the country's rival political parties.  

Following the weekly meeting of the Change and Reform bloc, Kanaan asked: “Who are the parties imposing impossible conditions to hinder the formation of the cabinet? Is it better to remain divided, or should we reach agreement concerning the possible means to protect the state in regards with the exceptional situation?” 

In this context, the MP said that forming a new cabinet is a constitutional procedure, calling on the authorities to take a comprehensive political decision in order for the public institutions to resume their work.   

Speaking on behalf of the Change and Reform bloc, Kanaan reiterated support to the Lebanese Armed Forces, pointing out that the bloc is waiting to receive the details of the Saudi initiatives in order to determine their stance.
