Funeral held for Hezbollah commander in Lebanon's Baalbek

A funeral was held Wednesday in the Bekaa city of Baalbek for a Hezbollah commander, who went missing in Syria for almost 8 months.

The body of Hussein Salah Habib was repatriated from Syria bearing signs of torture, one of the victim's relatives told Agence France Presse.

Habib was captured by opposition fighters during the battle for Qusayr, a strategic town that fell to the regime on June 5.

Habib's family knew, at the time, about his death but his body remained missing only to be found nearly a week ago in the area of Tallet Mando near Qusayr.

DNA tests were conducted for identification.
