Rifi calls for referring attack against Arsal and Hermel explosion cases to the Judicial Council

Major General Ashraf Rifi said that the shelling that targeted the northeastern town of Arsal was not accidental, but an intentional attack that killed innocent people who are paying the price of the intervention in the Syrian battle, the repercussions of which have started to cause violence and chaos and to destabilize Lebanon’s security.

In a statement he issued on Saturday, Rifi called for referring the attack that targeted a Lebanese town that hosts thousands of Syrian refugees and the Hermel explosion case to the Judicial Council.

He also urged for conducting a transparent investigation in order to reveal the identities of the perpetrators and take the necessary legal measures against them.
