Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun said on Tuesday that any cabinet formed without respecting the constitution will inevitably lack legitimacy, noting that the bloc's stance in this regard will be decided in due time.
Aoun's comments were made following the Change and Reform bloc's weekly meeting at Rabieh in which he asserted that Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam is not respecting the appropriate standards of the cabinet's formation, adding that Salam must submit his resignation after failing to form the cabinet in a span of almost 10 months.
He concluded by saying that any authority that does not respect coexistence in Lebanon is "illegitimate", adding that such a principle "does not bear any exceptions."
