Mikati partakes in International Security Conference in Munich

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati headed on Friday to Germany, where he participated in the International Security Conference in Munich, alongside several world's presidents, premiers, and defense and foreign ministers.

Mikati took part in today's afternoon opening session.

The Conference's Chairman Ambassador Wolfgang Ischinger and Federal President Joachim Gauck respectively delivered the first two words during the opening.

The conference has become the most important independent forum for exchange of views by international security policy decision-makers.

Each year, about 350 senior figures from more than 70 countries around the world engage in an intensive debate on current and future security challenges.
