Mikati meets Rai, expresses well wishes

PM Najib Mikati held a meeting with Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai on Wednesday in Bkerke, the seat of the Maronite Patriarchate in Lebanon.

In a brief press statement following the meeting, Mikati confirmed that he relayed the Lebanese people’s greetings to Rai, adding that they both discussed the issues of appointments and electoral law.

The prime minister is scheduled to visit Patriarch of the Church of Antioch Gregory III Laham as well as Bishop Elias Aoudi to express his Christmas and New Year's greetings and to discuss the general situation in the country.
