Pope Francis meets Cardinal Rai, voices concern over Middle East situation

Pope Francis told Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bshara Boutros Rai he was highly concerned with the situation in the Middle East, especially in Lebanon, the state-run National News Agency reported.

The Pope's statement was made on Thursday at the Congregation for Catholic Education in Rome.

Pope Francis is set to hold another meeting with Cardinal Rai next week.
