Ferzli to LBCI: Christians were well-represented at the new cabinet

Former Deputy Speaker Elie Ferzli said on Sunday that the new cabinet has been legitimately recognized regarding the representation of Christians, pointing out that all component of the Taef Agreement are represented in the said cabinet.

Ferzli told LBCI’s Nharkom Said that Christians were well-represented at the government, pointing out that Lebanon will be living 3 difficult months.

In this regard, Ferzli expressed his hope that the new cabinet carries out its duties, and creates an appropriate atmosphere for the upcoming entitlements in Lebanon.

Lebanon announced on February 15 a new government after more than 10 months of political deadlock.

Following the announcement of the new cabinet, Prime Minister Tammam Salam stressed the need to create positive atmosphere in order to resume national dialogue to resolve all pending issues under the auspices of President Michel Sleiman.
