MP Gemayel reiterates support to Baabda Declaration

Kataeb Party MP Sami Gemayel said on Monday targeting Lebanese President Michel Sleiman is unacceptable, pointing out that Kataeb deputies and ministers are at the disposal of President Sleiman.

MP Gemayel said in a press conference the Kataeb's participation in the cabinet will not be at the expense of the party's constants and principles, stressing that Kataeb Ministers will never be a cover for Hezbollah's participation in the Syrian war.

"The Resistance has lost its legitimacy," MP Gemayel said, expressing his rejection to any formula that grants the cabinet prerogatives to cover armed groups in Lebanon.

In this regard, Gemayel reiterated his support to the Baabda Declaration, emphasizing that the said declaration is Lebanon's way out of the crisis.
