A person kidnapped, forced to cede ownership of his apartment

The state-run National News Agency reported on Wednesday that gunmen kidnapped a citizen and his sister at gunpoint in the Cola area in Beirut.

The agency added that Mounir Ataya (63) and his sister were kidnapped by Moussa F. and another companion  in an attempt to force him to pays debts he owed.

Moussa F. demanded that Ataya hand over the ownership of his apartment to pay his debt to him.

The victim was also robbed of his money and passport.

The two kidnapped were later freed in the Ouzai area in Beirut.

No further information was provided in this regard.
