Mahfoud to LBCI: UCC to escalate if demands not met

Member of the Union Coordinating Committee stressed Wednesday that the discontent of the teachers and employees is growing due to the procrastination in passing the series of ranks and salaries, noting that the political parties can no longer stand against the demands of the UCC.

In a statement to LBCI’s Nahrkom Said, Mahfoud said that each party that does not support the demands of the UCC will lose in terms of popularity, pointing out that this will be revealed during the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Accordingly, Mahfoud called on the parties to follow the advice of Speaker Nabih Berri and refer the series to the parliament on Friday, threatening to escalate if they fail to do so.
