Gemayel meets Brahimi, says Syrian solution requires a miracle
Kataeb Party Leader Amine Gemayel stated on Wednesday that the solution in Syria requires a miracle due to the complications, pointing out that the conflict poses a threat to all neighboring countries.

Following talks with the UN-Arab League envoy for Syria Lakhdar Brahimi at the United Nations' headquarters in Geneva, Gemayel called on Arab countries, and the International Community to utilize their capabilities and exert efforts in order to halt the bloodshed and chaos, not only in Syria, but also in the entire region.

In turn, Brahimi stated that the situation in Syria is critical and does not bear further delays or procrastinations, lauding the generosity of the Lebanese people in hosting the Syrian refugees.

“Putting an end to the situation in Syria has become an urgent need that would provide stability in the entire region, mainly Lebanon,” Brahimi said.

The United Nations High Relief Commission declared in its latest report, that at least 46,000 Syrian refugees were registered in March in Lebanon, bringing the total number of Syrian refugees in Lebanon who receive the commission’s aid to 942,667 refugees.
