Security forces seize stolen vehicles in Arsal
Security forces seized on Friday two stolen vehicles near the Syrian refugees camp in the northeastern town of Arsal.

The cars were identified as a Liberty Cherokee Jeep and a Land Rover Discovery.

Investigations were launched in this regard.

Earlier, the security forces had also apprehended two other stolen vehicles in al-Masyadeh and Wadi Hmeid regions of Arsal, the state-run National News Agency reported.

The cars were identified as a Porsche Cayenne with a forged Syrian number plate, a grey Mercedes and a Jeep Liberty.

Stolen vehicles have been the cause of a many booby trapped explosions taking place in several regions across the country, the most recent having taken place when an explosive laden vehicle exploded at an army checkpoint in the border town of Arsal leaving three Lebanese Army soldiers dead and several others wounded.

These attacks are coming as a direct spillover of the Syrian crisis which has now entered its fourth year.
