Jabhat al-Nusra gunmen kidnap 4 Syrian refugees in Arsal

Jabhat al-Nusra gunmen stormed on Tuesday a Syrian refugee camp in the Wadi al-Hosn area, located in Arsal’s barren range, and kidnapped four Syrian nationals from the town of Qara, the state-run National News Agency reported.

The four Syrians were identified as Imad and Ahmad Ghawi, Mohammad Hassan Ghawi, and Fouad Yassine.

The gunmen, who were driving two SUVs, reportedly transported the abductees to an armed opposition stronghold on the Syrian side.

Jabhat al-Nusra is a branch of Al-Qaeda operating in Syria and Lebanon. The group has been labeled a terrorist organization by the United Nations, the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom.

Jabhat al-Nusra in Lebanon has claimed responsibility for several rocket attacks on Lebanese border towns as well as suicide car bombings in Hezbollah strongholds.
