Iran executes man convicted of killing policeman in unrest: Report

Iran on Wednesday executed ‌a man convicted of repeatedly stabbing and killing a ⁠police officer during nationwide protests in early 2026, the semi-official news agency Fars news ‌agency ⁠reported.

According to a report by rights group ⁠HRANA, a lawyer alleged that authorities did ⁠not allow independent ⁠lawyers to take the case.
