Lebanese army arrests several fugitives in Tripoli's Jabal Mohsen

The Army Command- Orientation Directorate said an army unit raided at dawn Friday the homes of several fugitives and arrested Taleb Mohammad Machlab Matar and his brother Bilal on shooting charges.

"An investigation was launched under the supervision of the concerned judiciary," the Army Command said in a statement.

"Fugitives Abdullah Abdul Kader Mansour, Abdullah Mohammad al-Helweh, Hassan Mahmoud Srour, Ali Ali Jerkes, Ahmad Khaled al-Abboud, Khaled Fadi Shalabi and Syrian national Khaled Mohammad Mustafa had all surrendered to the Army Intelligence Directorate on Thursday," the statement said.

Lebanese Armed Forces members also arrested a number of fugitives during raids in Tripoli's Jabal Mohsen.

The men, identified as Mustafa Ramadan Mustafa, Hilal Ali al-Sheikh and Ali Riyadh Maarouf, are wanted on charges of being involved in Tripoli clashes, the statement added.
