LAF unit seizes weapons and drugs, arrests 14 suspects in Sabtieh

The Lebanese Armed Forces Command announced on Wednesday that it had seized weapons, ammunition and drugs from a building in the north Metn town of Sabtieh, arresting 14 suspects including 6 Syrians in the process.

An army communiqué said the raid took place on Tuesday night after the military obtained information about suspicious activities carried out there.

It seized drugs, weapons, ammunition, hand grenades, cash, military gear, communication equipment and fake IDs, the communiqué added.

The detainees and the confiscated material were referred to the concerned authorities.
