Seniora condemns Damascus attack

The head of Future parliamentarian bloc, Fouad Seniora, condemned Damascus suicide-bombing describing it as a despicable criminal act of terror.

Commenting on yesterday's attack which left scores of civilians dead or injured, Seniorastated that the only path left for resolving the Syrian crisis lied in leaving the door open for "political change."

He added that terrorism must be condemned outright regardless of the motives or who might have perpetrated them. He duly opted for an independent impartial inquiry capable of unraveling circumstances surrounding the crime, in a bid to bring culprits to justice.

Seniora also condemned daily killings of innocent civilians at the hands of the repressive regime, saying such acts were incompatible with the Arab League initiative to which the regime itself actually consented.
