UCC, deputies voice stances on agreement reached Tuesday evening
The head of the Private Schools Teachers Association Nehme Mahfoud said Wednesday that the Union Coordinating Committee was able to impose the date it deems fit for the official exams to start, noting that “the UCC is responsible for the official exams and the decision remains in its hand.”

Mahfoud added that the teachers will supervise the exams but will not correct.

“Neither the teachers nor the pay scale are leading the country into vacuum and chaos, but the political forces are the ones doing so,” he stressed.

For his part, member of the Future bloc MP Ammar Houry told LBCI that the revenues mentioned in the pay scale draft law are only ink on paper and far from real; pointing out that “it is intolerable to grant half of the Lebanese people their rights, while depriving the other half from theirs.”

In turn, member of the Change and Reform bloc MP Alain Aoun said that the pay scale can be passed when all the political factions cooperate and find a solution based on the different proposals presented in this regard.
