ISF unit arrests two for raping, robbing over 60 women
The Internal Security Forces issued on Thursday a statement stating that it detained two suspects accused of raping around 60 women and robbing them at gunpoint.

The ISF asked victims to come forward in order to press charges against the arrestees.

The ISF added in the statement that it launched a manhunt of the two suspects after receiving reports of rape in Mount Lebanon.

On June 9, A police unit raided the house of a man identified as H.H., in the Keserwan town of Aramoun, confiscating a pistol and 20 purses.

The man later on confessed to carrying out more than 50 acts of rape, sexual assault and robbery.

The suspect also confessed that another man, identified as A.G., had carried out similar crimes. The ISF arrested also the second suspect in the Mount Lebanon town of Shoueifat.

The 22-year-old suspect confessed to raping and robbing 10 women by forcing them into his vehicle using a knife.

The ISF called for any potential victims to come forward or call the hotline 05-921-115 or 05-922-173.
