Public administration employees stage sit-in outside Ministry of Social Affairs
Public administration employees staged a sit-in on Friday outside the Ministry of Social Affairs in Badaro, calling on the parliament to meet their demands.

In this regard, the head of the Public Administration Employees, Mahmoud Haidar, warned against additional taxes on the poor, urging the lawmakers to endorse the wage scale on June 19.

Thousands of Lebanese teachers, civil servants, contract workers and others have been on a continuous sit-in, urging the state to grant them their rights.

The Union Coordination Committee has been also holding demonstrations to exert pressure on Parliament to pass the series of ranks and salaries draft law.
