Kerry meets with Hariri in Paris, urges end to presidential vacuum
Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri met Thursday with US Secretary of State John Kerry at the latter’s residence in Paris.

During the meeting, sources reported that discussions featured high on the current developments in Lebanon, mainly the need to put an end to the presidential vacuum.

Kerry and Hariri also tackled the mechanisms to be adopted by the Lebanese authorities in order to ensure stability and boost the capabilities of the security and military forces.

Also during the meeting, the officials discussed the issue of the Syrian refugees and the pressures imposed on Lebanon in this regard, as well as the efforts required from the International Community to face this impasse and its burdens, which are affecting all sectors.
