Maj. Gen. Ibrahim: Visas should not be automatically granted at border

The Director General of General Security, Maj. Gen Abbas Ibrahim said Thursday that the Lebanese General Security had called on all concerned authorities not to grant automatic visas at the border crossings, noting that such a decision should be made by the political authority.

“The General Security will deal with this case in accordance with the decision to be issued in this regard, whatever it may be,” he explained.

In a television interview, Ibrahim stressed that the General Security is deploying all possible efforts in order to thwart terrorist attacks, in cooperation with the security apparatuses.
