ISF unit arrests officer killer in Baalbek

The Internal Security Forces said on Wednesday that the suspected killer of an officer was arrested during a raid on his house west of the Bekaa city of Baalbek.

The suspect who was identified by his initials M.Sh. is wanted for his involvement in the killing of an officer, the ISF said, without giving further details about the murder.

The ISF added that several other suspects were arrested during the raid.

The state-run National News Agency reported that the raid was carried out at dawn in the town of Bouday.

A shootout took place during the operation, wounding Shamas along with two ISF officers, and killing Syrian national Ahmed al-Idawi.
