Mikati: Security forces proved to be protector of national security

PM Najib Mikati said on Thursday that security apparatuses, including the ISF, have proven to be capable of maintaining national security, without discrimination between one region or the other.

“These forces, along with the rest of the security apparatuses, represent a true safety net for Lebanon”, Mikati said.

During a launching ceremony for the ISF’s code of conduct in the Grand Serail, Mikati stressed the importance of “promoting political stability that will be a stepping stone towards permanent security stability.

This will achieved through a political dialogue, the protector of civil peace.” Mikati highlighted the importance of working to promote cooperation between Lebanese security apparatuses far from narrow individual interests.

“Security apparatuses are not competing against each other, rather their work is complementary. There’s a mutual trust between the Lebanese and these security apparatuses”, Mikati said.
