Security Forces arrest Captagon trafficking networks

The Internal Security Forces Directorate announced on Saturday that it thwarted an attempt to smuggle more than 8,200 Captagon pills through the Beirut International airport.

The directorate added that the pills were hidden inside the bag of a Syrian national identified by his initials A.D. (born in 1988).

Investigations with the arrestee uncovered six pills trafficking networks working independently.

The Directorate also arrested six members of these networks who were identified as follows:

- A.M., Lebanese (born in 1964)

- F.A. (born in 1976), T.Z. (born in 1973), Z.A. (born in 1983), G.A. (born in 1985), and Gh. D. (born in 1980).

The ISF Directorate noted that more than 17,000 Captagon pills were seized during the raid.
