Hariri congratulates Lebanese people on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr

Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri issued on Saturday a statement in which he congratulated the Lebanese people  on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, voicing hopes that Lebanon "would see better days."

“I hope that by the next Eid, Lebanon would have overcome the phase of anxiety and the presidency vacuum, and would enjoy more security and stability,” Hariri noted in the statement.

He also hoped that the Lebanese people would stand united for the sake of the national interest of the country.

The Future Movement chief expressed “his utmost sadness because this year’s Eid coincides with the brutal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, stressing that he fully supports the Palestinian people.”

Hariri also voiced hopes that the suffering of the Syrian people due to the practices of President Bashar Assad would stop, that the Iraqi people would overcome their crises and preserve their unity, and that security and stability would reign in all Arab countries.
