The pair also tackled the required support for the Lebanese army to confront terrorism and to maintain Lebanon's security and sovereignty.
Following the meeting, Patriarch Rai chaired a mass service in the presence of Moqbel alongside representatives of the Army Chief Major General Jean Kahwagi and the Minister of Public Works and Transportation Ghazi Zoueiter.
In his homily, Rahi dubbed the Lebanese Armed Forces "the fortress of the nation and the protectors of dignity," pointing out that all Lebanese factions should stand by the side of LAF troops while carrying out their national duties.
