Two wage decree plans will be tabled today

The wage decree will be tabled during the cabinet session that will be held Wednesday afternoon according to two legal equations as was made clear by Labor Minister Charbel Nahhas. The first equation will be based on Nahhas’ proposal as for the second it will take into account the former agreement concluded between the economic bodies and the GLC and sponsored by PM Najib Mikati.

PM Mikati met with the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon ad interim Robert Watkins in the Grand Serail on Wednesday. They discussed the visit of U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and the implementation of resolution 1701. Mikati also met with Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdul Karim Ali to discuss bilateral relations and the need to sign the agreements ratified between the two parties in order to better control the borders and stop smuggling weapons across the border.
