ISIS writings found on a butchery wall in Tripoli

The state-run National News Agency reported on Wednesday that unknown persons wrote the statement "ISIS is coming" on the wall of a butchery in the northern city of Tripoli owned by a Lebanese of Syrian origin, Jamal Mohammad El-Said.

The agency added that the same writings were found on Al-Said's car which was parked on Ghandi Street in the Mina region of the northern Lebanese city.

Last week, unknown assailants vandalized two churches in Tripoli with phrases saying that the “the Islamic State is coming” Lebanese Armed Forces soldiers rushed to the area, and removed the writing.

Investigations were launched in order to reveal the circumstances behind the incident.

Two weeks ago, Minister of Justice Achraf Rifi called for an investigation to be carried out into the burning of crosses in the northern city of Tripoli.

Also, several people were seen burning the Islamic State flags at Achrafieh's Sassine Square.

Rifi vowed on to legally pursue those who participated in the incident.
