Cabinet session kicks off at Grand Serail

A cabinet session is currently being held at the Grand Serail with 65 items on its agenda.

The session is due to discuss the electricity file and the Arsal captives dossier, as well as the signing of decrees issued by the cabinet and the solid waste issue.

Ahead of the session, Industry Minister Hussein al-Hajj Hassan said this is not the time for political bickering but rather for national solidarity.

For his part, Labor Minister Sejaan Azzi said all contacts being held with regards to the kidnapped troops aim thus far at securing their safety.

"We regret that we haven't received any guarantees in this regard," Azzi added.
