Rockets launched from Syria land on Akkar's al-Kabir river

The state-run national News Agency reported on Sunday that several rockets landed on the al-Kabir river in the northern Akkar district from the Syrian side.

The agency added that the attack on the outskirts of al-Debabiyeh town did not cause casualties.

Similar attacks have taken place in the region since the uprising against Syrian President Bashar Assad started in 2011 and turned into a war between his troops and rebels seeking to topple him.

They have either targeted Lebanese or Syrian nationals trying to infiltrate Lebanon through the al-Kabir river.
