The Supreme Security Committee overseeing the refugee camps security declared Sunday that it does not have any information regarding the presence of fugitive Chadi al-Mawlawi in Ain al-Helweh refugee camp, noting that in case these allegations were confirmed, the Lebanese authorities must be held responsible for facilitating his escape.
In a statement issued in this regard, the committee pointed out that the Islamic forces at the camp denied hosting any person from outside the camp, denouncing any attempt to drag the camp into “the storm of internal disputes.”
On another note, the committee condemned the remarks made by Fadel Shaker from Ain al-Helweh.
