The Lebanese Armed Forces Intelligence Directorate referred detainee Mesaab Jamal al-Ayyoubi, to the concerned judiciary for necessary measure.
Al-Ayyoubi, who belongs to the armed group led by arrestee Ahmad al-Mikati, confessed to taking part in the terrorist acts carried out by the said group, and to being aware of the plans prepared for the city of Tripoli.
The Lebanese Army arrested 18-year-old Mesaab Jamal al-Ayyoubi last Thursday (November 20), suspected of belonging to a terrorist organization in the north Lebanon village of Qalamoun.
The arrest was part of a wider crackdown on militants belonging to extremist groups.
The arrests have intensified since last month's four-day battle with militants in Tripoli and other parts of the north which resulted in the deaths of 42 people, including 11 soldiers and eight civilians.
