Ep8: KAFA's Zalfa says...
As part of our effort to shed light on women's rights in Lebanon, LBCI will be broadcasting a 30 second segment on the nightly news bulletin over a span of 16 days.

Zalfa, a character created by KAFA (Enough Violence & Exploitation), will be explaining the inner workings of the law against domestic violence in a bid to raise awareness on law 293.

In tonight's segment Zalfa says:

The restraining order prevents the aggressor from any kind of disposition of common property.

The order also forces the aggressor to pay an amount of money that covers the expenses of food, clothes, school fees and medical treatment of physical damage caused by the violence.

This decision may also give you the permission to take all your personal belongings from your home.

Watch us tomorrow for further clarifications on the law against domestic violence.
