Geagea calls for speeding up parliamentary elections
Lebanese Forces Chief Samir Geagea stated on Tuesday that the parliamentary elections should be held before ending the presidential deadlock, calling for speeding up these elections in a bid to end corruption in Lebanon.

Geagea said while meeting a Lebanese delegation in Riyadh that all conflicts have solutions, stressing that the Lebanese Armed Forces are capable of protecting Lebanon’s southern borders.

“Various fabrications were made up to distort the image of the military institution; however, the latest incidents in the country were proof that the actual battle is being fought by LAF troops,” Geagea said.

Geagea also noted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia granted the military institution 4 million USD seemingly since it believed that only army soldiers are capable of maintaining stability and security in Lebanon.
