Unknown assailants open fire at Sheikh Zgheib’s vehicle

Sheikh Abbas Qasem Zgheib filed on Friday morning a lawsuit against “unknown persons” at the Internal Security Forces’ al-Mrayjeh police station.

Zgheib claimed his vehicle – a dark blue Nissan Sunny carrying the plate number (535316 - B) - was shot at twice in the parking lot of the building he lives in. No one was hurt.

Security forces from the Mrayjeh police station and Criminal evidence teams rushed to the scene, inspected the targeted vehicle and launched an investigation into the incident.

Sheikh Zgheib had played a key role in the committee that followed up on the file of the Lebanese pilgrims who were kidnapped in Syria’s Aazaz.
