Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri expressed Wednesday his gratitude to the support offered by the United States to Lebanon in the fight against terrorism, stressing that any intervention on the part of Iran is rejected by Lebanon.
Hariri’s remarks were made following his meeting with US Secretary of State John Kerry in Washington.
In turn, Kerry noted that the US is committed to maintaining Lebanon’s security and stability, pointing out that Lebanon is hosting around 1.2 million Syrian refugees who continue to affect the country’s stability.
Former PM Saad Hariri arrived on Tuesday morning (local time) in Washington to meet with US senior officials, where he will tackle the latest developments in Lebanon and the region, mainly in Syria and Yemen.
