Hariri from US: Future-Hezbollah dialogue addresses sectarian tensions

Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri stressed Friday that “the fight against extremist forces must continue, whether Hezbollah or al-Qaeda,” noting that the main objective should be based on building a state and promoting equality, "contrary to the policy of chaos adopted by the Shiite party, which has been hindering Lebanon’s political life and expanding throughout the region by interfering in Syria, Iraq and Yemen."

During the third day of his visit to the United States, Hariri pointed out that dialogue with Hezbollah is addressing the issue of sectarian tensions in the country and constitutes a guarantee for the Lebanese people who fear the return of the civil war.

Commenting on the relations with the Free Patriotic Movemet, Hariri said that there are no issues with the FPM, adding that “the dialogue with MP Michel Aoun has led to reaching solutions for many pending issues, such as the administrative appointments dossier.”
