Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri discussed on Saturday with the United States National Security Advisor Susan Rice the latest developments in Lebanon and the region, mainly in Syria, Iraq, and Yemen.
During the meeting, Rice reiterated its country’s support to Lebanon’s sovereignty and stability, as well its capability to bear the repercussions of regional conflicts, pointing out that the US is keen on providing Lebanese Armed Forces with the necessary assistance.
Earlier, Former PM Hariri met with Acting Deputy Secretary of Defense Christine Fox and discussed with her means to provide the Lebanese army with more assistance to proceed with maintaining Lebanon’s stability and confronting terrorism.
