Two days before Lebanon’s dream game, all eyes are on Abu Dhabi

There are exactly two days left for the Lebanese national football team’s long-awaited match against the United Arab Emirates, which will allow Lebanon to reach the second stage of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers for the first time ever.

More than 500 Lebanese, including journalists, officials and supporters will be heading to the UAE on Wednesday morning to watch the game, in addition to thousands of Lebanese living in the UAE.

In this regard, member of the Coordinating Committee to keep up with the Lebanese team, Wassim Sabra, told LBCI that it is now difficult for the team’s fans to watch the game in the field due to the fact that it has become impossible to get visas and tickets and that the stadium has become almost full.

Youth and Sports Minister Faisal Karami kindly asked Education Minister Hassan Diab to suspend courses at schools and universities an hour before the game starts on Wednesday.
