Ten citizens arrested following riots in Downtown Beirut – ISF

Internal Security Forces announced on Sunday that 10 citizens were arrested following riots that took place in Downtown Beirut, adding that 2 policemen were slightly injured during the clashes.

According to security forces, protesters succeeded late Saturday night in crossing the first barbed wire fence erected in front of the government headquarters, adding that they set trash on fire next to the barbed wire and pulled it down in an attempt to get closer to the Grand Serail.

However, “You Stink” activists distanced themselves from protesters who were clashing with security forces and vowed to escalate their campaign if the state fails to meet their demands within 72 hours.
