“We Want Accountability” activists stage sit-in outside Auditing Department

“We Want Accountability” activists staged on Saturday a sit-in outside the Auditing Department in Beirut's Hamra area, calling upon the judiciary to fight corruption.

The protesters held the political class accountable for looting public money.

“If the supervising bodies played their role properly, the country wouldn’t have reached this situation,” they added, considering the Audit Department as “the cornerstone of supervisory bodies.”
