Fatfat: Only Hezbollah holds decision of cabinet collapse

MP Ahmad Fatfat said that the verdict issued against retired General Fayez Karam is not based on the Information Division’s early investigations and recordings that became useless once the case was submitted to the Judiciary, but on the investigations carried out by the Investigating Judge in the presence of the attorneys.

Fatfat told “Sawt Lobnan” radio that a tense atmosphere is prevailing in the cabinet due to major issues such as electricity, the indictment, the Special Tribunal for Lebanon’s funding and the doubts surrounding the verdict issued against retired General Fayez Karam.

“For the time being, the cabinet will not collapse because the decision of resigning does not rest with General Michel Aoun or PM Najib Mikati but with Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah”, Fatfat added.
