Nahas to LBC: We will keep an eye on Mikati

Minister of Labor Charbel Nahas said that the minister should be the one to oversee transactions within their respective ministry. “If there’s a will to establish an oversight body for the Energy ministry, the Change and Reform bloc will call for the establishment of oversight bodies for all the ministers including PM Najib Mikati”, he said.

Nahas told “Nharkom Said” TV show that the cabinet is bound to take a position on the electricity plan upon the Parliament’s request.

On the verdict issued against retired General Fayez Karam, Nahas refused to comment on the positions of Hezbollah and other parties. He described the Information Division as “illegitimate” and accused it of acting like a militia. “They breached security, took over public buildings, leaked sensitive information to the media and engaged in political blackmail”.
